Die Hard: With a Vengeance

This third installment makes no apologies about its intent: to unleash absolute chaos across the city of New York and let regular-guy cop John McClane clean it up. Bruce Willis still exudes a world-weary charm, while Samuel L. Jackson – as an indignant Harlem shop owner who tags along – allows for some comic racial bantering between the two. Director John McTiernan, meanwhile, knows to put the stunts center stage, including a derailed subway train that crashes through a station. With Jeremy Irons as a devious and vengeful German terrorist.
