Shrek Forever After  (2010)
Family  Rated: PG
Often as fun and witty as its predecessors, Shrek Forever After nonetheless sacrifices satire – the hallmark of the series – in favor of nonstop action. The latter, after all, is much better for 3-D. And so armies of witches attack battalions of ogres while the camera swoops and swirls. It’s entertaining enough – even if the 3-D is still unnecessary – but I missed the way the previous movies lampooned the outdated aspects of fairy tales, especially their emphasis on beautiful damsels in distress. With the crucial return of vocal stars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas.
